Start with the medium tip. Pull the top of your ear up and back, insert with the marker facing up, and let go.
To check the seal, cup your hands over both ears and take them away. If the sound barely changes, it's sealed. If it changes a lot, go up one tip size.

On Light, yes. That setting takes the edge off the room while leaving the sounds you need, like an alarm, a doorbell, or a child down the hall. On Deep, no, and that's the point of having three settings rather than one. Most people run Deep on the nights they can sleep in and Light on the nights they can't.
Medium is already fitted, so start there. If it feels loose or you can still hear too much, go up. If its not comfortable within an hour, go down. Each product comes with multiple tip sizes (S, M and L + Dual Layer Tip) so you can find your perfect fit.
The skin-friendly silicone earplugs are widely used for nightly sleep. Keep them clean, rinse them with water and let them dry between uses, and don't push them further than they go comfortably. If you have a history of ear infections, perforated eardrums or grommets, ensure hygiene is in check.
